The audio guide was created for those who want to explore Braga on foot, passing through the city’s main points of interest. In total, the walking route through the historic center covers about 6 to 7 kilometers, which corresponds to approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours of effective walking time. Taking into account the time to visit each site, enjoy the architecture, take photos, make short stops, or even enter museums, churches, cafés, and squares, it is recommended to set aside a full day to enjoy the experience at a relaxed pace.
To visit the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte and the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Sameiro, both located outside the city center, you can take a local bus. In the case of Bom Jesus, there is also the possibility of going up on the historic hydraulic funicular, one of the oldest in the world still in operation, or, for the more adventurous, walking up the iconic baroque staircase. The Sameiro, located just a few minutes away, is easily accessible by bus or taxi.
